Important SkyHub firmware 4.1 hotfix for safety-related risks for DJI M350/M300 users

All users of SkyHub 4.1 firmware should immediately download the latest version of the UgCS Custom Payload Monitor app and update the firmware to version 4.1.1.

Hello there!

We are writing to inform you about a necessary and urgent hotfix release for the SkyHub firmware. This hotfix addresses three critical issues that were recently identified. These issues have the potential to significantly impact operational performance and safety, particularly in mission-critical situations. We highly recommend immediate deployment of this hotfix to ensure seamless operations and prevent disruptions.

The following critical issues have been resolved in this version:

1. In-flight Ethernet Payload Disconnection:
   An issue was discovered where the SkyHub could become unresponsive if the in-flight Ethernet payload is disconnected, particularly when using GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) payloads. This unresponsiveness poses a serious risk during operations, as it could result in the loss of communication with the system, requiring manual intervention or system reboot.

    

2. Incorrect Handling of Altimeter Disconnection:
   A bug was identified in how Skyhub processes altimeter disconnections. If the altimeter disconnects unexpectedly during a mission, it may cause SkyHub to crash, particularly when executing TTF (True Terrain Following) missions. This instability can severely disrupt flight performance and compromise mission safety.

    

3. Unreliable Obstacle Avoidance Radar Communication:
   In cases where the obstacle avoidance radar operates on an incorrect or unreliable port, SkyHub could erroneously interpret data. This can trigger false positive fail-safe actions, potentially leading to unnecessary system interventions that degrade mission performance.

We strongly urge you to update your systems to the latest version as soon as possible to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety.

No configuration changes are required after the system update if it is updated from the current production version 4.1.0.
